After working for 9 years at a local manufacturing company, Ryan Schaad wanted out of the industry. In 2015 after a huge snow storm, the seed of entrepreneurship was planted and he purchased a snow blower and started snow blowing. The next spring, Ryan started push mowing a few yards on the side.

The fall of 2016, Ryan decided to take the leap of faith and quit his full-time job in order to dedicate his time to growing his own business. With his trusty old Jeep, a wheelbarrow, a push mower, a rake, a shovel, and a weed eater, Ryan Schaad Services was born.

In 2018, Ryan Schaad Services had its first employee and in 2020 the name changed to Lion Lawn Care, as it was no longer a single man’s dream, but a company that supported multiple families.

By 2021, Ryan’s wife, Crystal, had quit her job at a local hospital and joined his dream by supporting the administrative side. That very winter a new sister company was developed, PA Christmas Lights Installers. This new company had phenomenal success for its first season and created an opportunity to keep our seasonal workers employed for the majority of the year while being generously paid! In 2022, Lion Lawn Care stepped up and rebranded into Lionscape.
